There is little if any "if." It is most likely they knew. However, neither has the authority to just go and spend money as they please. Even the GM is limited to $15,000.
And you throw out accusations without a clue as to their areas of responsibility or areas of authority. Joe Hi Joe, Just wondering about the above in relation to the magical appearance of the new lights on the bridge. I don't recall that the BoD ever even addressed the issue. Did that money come from the fund that the GM can spend as he wishes? I am assuming that the 1969 electrical arrangement was replaced with something modern and LED bulbs are now in place. The globes may have come from " 1,000 Bulbs. com".....or maybe not. Whatever.....I am very happy that they are there! Just wondering. Nancy |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I have said that if the Facilities Manager and or the Director of Parks and Recreation were aware of the safety report and did not act they should be held accountable. There is little if any "if." It is most likely they knew. However, neither has the authority to just go and spend money as they please. Even the GM is limited to $15,000. And you throw out accusations without a clue as to their areas of responsibility or areas of authority. How would you hold them accountable? Stand in a corner? The GM has been aware of the safety inspection reports on the bridges for many years. So has the Facilities Manager. Is the Facilities Manager also accountable for not repairing the bridges? Heck, if we try hard enough maybe we can convince the board and the GM to bring legal charges against Marty Clarke for failure on both counts. Moran is correct. This has moved to the Contortionist stage. |
