I have no idea how OPA came up with the 37.5 hour figure but had that thought of why employees were using the 2 15 minute breaks to extend their lunch hour
I thought something was mentioned in an earlier post about clocking out if an employee left the work site while taking a break. If the employee was taking their two 15 minute breaks coupled with their 30 minute lunch period each day and leaving the work site, that could add up to 2 1/2 hours of unpaid time each week the employee would use when clocking out for lunch and back in on their return to the work site. |
