No.........in all seriousness.........build it and they will come. That's what we heard about the indoor pool. They haven't come and the facility looks to cost association members in excess of $250,000 in losses when including the profit pools used to make. Where does it stop? Bowling alley? Pool room? Whatever, regardless of cost or operational loss? I will say this, any idea such as you propose should be cost out, capital and operational costs, and submitted to lot owners for referendum. If the lot owners vote to have a fitness center built and operated by OPA despite any cost or operational loss, so be it. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Because all lot owners should use the facility! You can make it like mandatory gym class! We'll set up something like the Presidential Physical Fitness test, check BMI (body fat), etc, etc, and put folks on a remedial program if they don't make the minimum standards. No.........in all seriousness.........build it and they will come. I feel that way about a new community center also.
