For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Why is it a silly thing to want to thank someone when they go above and beyond and show appreciation for that work by simply writing it down and sharing. How about a simple, sincere verbal "thank you" at the time peer praise or any praise or thanks is deserved. I’m sure anyone who has ever received a hand written thank you before has appreciated it. Yes, a hand-written note on a form from a pile of forms printed by OPA for use in at least quadruplicate. "You simply write the Praise Note highlighting that which you observed your coworker or 'Peer' doing and give the original white copy to that employee and all other copies to the employee’s supervisor. The supervisor will keep one copy and then send one copy to General Manager Bailey and one copy will be posted on a departmental Praise Board." You gotta love it -- "a departmental Praise Board." |
