Why are they worthless today?
Those lots are worth what a buyer is willing to pay. OPA made a major push to sell them and sold none. Ed Moran's response to you does not reflect the facts. I am one of those who believes OPA should not sell any common property. However, these lots are not commonly owned property. I wholeheartedly supported selling those individual building lots. I support selling those lots now as well. In fact, if no one buys, I would not object to them being given away in some sort of a lottery draw. OPA made a major push to sell those lots at the time of the failed Community Center project at the Southgate. Not a single lot was sold. |
