I should keep my nose out of this but I can’t help myself. Two things:

     1. To the best of my knowledge the engineering with regard to the moving of water to a pond at the old Pines Shore golf property was done by OPA under Bob Thompson and was terribly flawed. The entire plan was more about purchasing that property for a new public works operation and athletic fields. Drainage was nothing more then a strawman.

     2.  The cost to improve the drainage down Beauchamp Road with properly sized culverts and including a storm water management pond located down by the existing boat ramp property was no where close to $10M dollars. In my opinion this is the only feasible option.
