Pond capacity increase is 50,000 cubic feet as I recall - water from a 2-inch rainfall on one acre. How many watershed acres are feeding Bainbridge Pond? Lots more than one. Will delay flooding but not by much. It is not just how many inches but in what time frame And what duration. The Bainbridge project may beat a blank, but not by much. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Sounds like you've perhaps already investigated those numbers, and made some calculations. Care to share those any of those numbers? Like how much more water that pond will eventually hold? According to TV reports, OP has received over 2 inches of rain this week end. Would be interesting to hear whether there was overflow from this. |
