Hi Frank
In today's "This Week in The Pines" I saw the following description of the work at Bainbridge Pond: "The project at Bainbridge Pond includes replacement of storm drain inflow and outflow pipes, construction of a new forebay, re-grading the perimeter of the pond and installing aquatic benches, and building a new weir to control water levels and slow flooding during larger storms." [underline added] And I was glad to hear Bainbridge is going to include the weir, to help control water levels. And from descriptions I've read of similar projects, its forebay will be helpful in gaining the sedimentation effects. or filtration. Tom |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: YUP Can be costly . $$$ Figures like those were mentioned in discussions here, earlier. I was wondering about pond level management, for example with a weir controlling releases. |
