I believe that Martins Fish Co has been badly hurt by SeaBorne Seafood across the inlet which has morphed from a company largely supplying restaurants and commercial companies to a retail operation. Kerry had to do this to stay in business during Covid which affected the restaurant business and seems to have found his niche. He sells the catch from his two boats as well as some of the other boats that fish the area. | ||||||

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Yet I know I have read that some windmills may be located as close as 10 miles. What is the distance in point of fact? MarWin website still says 20 miles???? Can't blame Martins for taking advantage of the goose that laid the golden egg. True. However, if all the commercial fishery operations depend on an operation run by a single family it is not good under any circumstances. I have no idea if the harbor will have some other operation take over for commercial fishermen. Do you? Does anyone here know the facts surrounding this issue? |
