Ocean City would suffer major impacts on its tourism, sports fishing, seafood catching and heavy industrialization of it harbor, yet ONLY getting some fraction of the power produced.
Does the speculation ever end? |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Yes Delmarva Power And our Ocean Pines power comes from Virginia, likely a small percent of their power load. So that doesn't mean we will get significant power supplies from the Virginia offshore wind project, referenced here earlier. Also, it does NOT appear that the Delmarva Power transmission lines are configured to carry significant power supplies from Indian River to Ocean City (per Scott's analysis.) Ocean City would suffer major impacts on its tourism, sports fishing, seafood catching and heavy industrialization of it harbor, yet ONLY getting some fraction of the power produced. That's an unfavorable imbalance. |
