Section 23: OPA Elections Subject: Public Vote Count Results Msg# 1224350

Hi John. I see the Elections Committee just recently had meeting minutes from November 25, 2024 uploaded to the OPA website. The meeting addressed changes to M-06, changes that would eliminate association members knowing the election count results at the conclusion of counting. This issue of knowing results and ability to observe the counting process was something association members fought for years to obtain.
Has this board approved removing the ability of the association members to know the vote results at the conclusion of counting and just after candidates receive the result? In fact, even candidates no longer receive results if the board approved these changes proposed by the Elections Committee. Hopefully, the board has not approved these Draconian changes desired by those individuals on the Election Committee last November. |
