It has been hit hard with the aerator and reseeded but what surprises me is that it is one of the fairways that I watched being done completely over as part of the multi million dollar redoing of the course.

Thanks for confirming what others have been telling me. I think Casper is saying there is a problem with some of the grasses used. Regardless of the source or cause of the problem, the problem is a bummer.
