Aren’t you exhausted discussing this yet??
Of course not. Why? Because I have yet to hear a clear, concise explanation of what Peer Praise Notes are all about. You have given opinions but some seem at odds with the email from HR to all employees. But then my comprehension level is truly sub-par as I have yet to hear anyone concisely explain the new employee break policy. I'll reiterate, I posted the official statement from OPA HR department and have been asking questions about the official statement. You and I are only engaged in this because you chose to jump in and answer questions I raised (as usual much appreciated ), and some answers don't seem to jive with the announcement. I guess it depends on how you look at it. I don’t label anyone who “works for me” as workers. How you label people is not the issue. OPA Human Resources Department labels them as workers. Any manager or employee confused about this should follow the instructions at the bottom of the email announcement sent to all employees and supervisiors: "If you have questions please see your supervisor or feel free to contact myself. " The "myself" appears to be Nate Douty. Please send Nate the questions raised and see if you can get an official response. While you are at it, perhaps Nate can confirm rumors that the drawing winner will receive a MAGA hat autographed by Donald Trump. etc. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Aren’t you exhausted discussing this yet?? “A department head praising a worker is not PEER Praise. A worker praising a department head is not PEER Praise.” I guess it depends on how you look at it. I don’t label anyone who “works for me” as workers. I don’t even like when I hear people say they work for me, they work WITH me for the community. Whatever the name of it, I understand it’s intent. I don’t know how else to explain it. |
